possibilities
Porphyry in outdoor use shows all its exceptional technical qualities that make it the
strongest frost-resistant stone extracted in Europe, withstanding both acids and
temperature shock.
Applications
Porphyry is used:
- For paving in town centres, pedestrian
areas, roads, squares, pavements (sidewalks), gardens, residential areas, sports centres
and the like; the surface is non-slip, does not get soft in summer, and does not produce
any unpleasant smells.
- o For facing (or construction) of walling:
in streets, homes, gardens etc.
Porphyry is also particularly well suited
to internal decoration, offering a very attractive and warm environment.
The material is used for floors, both polished and semi-polished, for facings of stairs,
walls, balconies, fireplaces etc.
The applications of porphyry cannot be rigidly classified. They depend on good taste and
imagination, as this stone is well suited to an infinite range of applications, all with a
strong natural appeal.
